Bruce Gilden's 'Why These?' at Fotografiska Berlin: A Retrospective of Confrontational Street Photography
Bruce Gilden, renowned for his evocative street photography marked by close flash techniques, has unveiled a new exhibition titled 'Why These?' at Fotografiska in Berlin. The show features a total of 41 photographs, including 19 celebrated images taken in locations such as Coney Island, Haiti, New York, and Tokyo, alongside 22 large-scale prints that demonstrate his transition to digital color starting in 2013. Gilden, a Brooklyn native born after World War II, expresses a deep connection with his subjects, viewing them as family. The exhibit is open for viewing every day from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
