Brooklyn Loft Kitchen Renovation Blends Industrial Heritage with Warm Design

In 2025, a renovation revitalized a small kitchen within a Brooklyn loft located at 47 Lincoln Place, a pre-war structure from 1910 referred to as the 'Sneaker Factory.' Senior Designer Ellen Schott from Bakes & Kropp spearheaded the project, which introduced a U-shaped layout with clearly defined work areas. The team also included Santiago Tomas, Sabrina Antony, and Staci Ruiz. The design showcases bespoke cabinetry from Bakes & Kropp, a stone-clad peninsula, and high-end appliances from brands like Fisher & Paykel, Bosch, Sub-Zero, and Wolf. Custom tray dividers and deep drawers enhance storage, while the owner's Japanese pottery is elegantly displayed in glass-front cabinets. Layered lighting creates a warm atmosphere, perfect for cooking and entertaining.
