Bring Up Midori Child Development Center by OOOarchitecture

OOOarchitecture has completed the Bring Up Midori Child Development Center in 2024, a 498 m² educational nursery in Japan designed as a therapeutic landscape for children with developmental disabilities. The project, curated by Miwa Negoro, embraces sensory differences as a source of curiosity rather than a condition to be managed. Principal architects Yo Sato, Ryohei Baba, and Hikomaru Wada transformed everyday movement into opportunities for exploration and growth through play. Structural engineering was provided by Takashi Baba, MEP by Comodo Equipment Planning, LLC, and general contracting by C.S.Home Co., Ltd. Photographs by Shota Hiyoshi document the space.
