Founded by Will Howard and his wife Sogand Howard for their family, the house is situated in a back garden behind a Victorian terrace. This project references the borough's self-build architectural legacy, particularly Walter Segal's Walter's Way. The couple undertook much of the joinery and interior work themselves, aiming to illustrate that “building by hand can become an act of belonging.” The design features blank white-brick side walls for potential future builds, alongside modern elements like an asymmetric gable roof and folding glass doors connecting to the garden.
