Bric Arquitetura and Portillo e Pantoja Renovate 97m² Copacabana Apartment for Hybrid Use
Architecture firms Bric Arquitetura and Portillo e Pantoja, led by Mariana Maria Portillo and Pedro Pantoja, have completed the renovation of a 97m² linear apartment in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. Designed for hybrid use—serving as both a home office for the owner and a short-term rental—the project completely transformed the property, which was in precarious condition, without preserving the original floor plan. The renovation was curated by Susanna Moreira. The technical team included Gabriel Bonfim, with project team members Alexia Candiago, Camille Oliveira, Victor Suarez, and Daniela Maciel. Landscaping was done by Pedro Rabellais, and general construction by Produto e Arquitetura. Suppliers included Casa Ocre, Galeria Hathi, Legado Rio, and Noemi Carpu. Photographs were taken by Fran Parente. The project was completed in 2025.
