Brian O'Doherty's Letters Published, Conversation with Brenda Moore-McCann at Printed Matter

A conversation between Brian O'Doherty and Brenda Moore-McCann is scheduled for today at 5pm at Printed Matter, Inc., located at 231 11th Avenue at 22nd Street in New York City, with introductory remarks by Prem Krishnamurthy. Moore-McCann, a Trinity College, Dublin professor and author of the 2009 monograph Brian O'Doherty/Patrick Ireland: Between Categories published by Lund Humphries, has edited a new collection of O'Doherty's correspondence titled Dear…Selected Letters from Brian O'Doherty 1970s to 2018, released by Vermillion Design. This volume includes letters to artists, curators, and other figures, offering insights into O'Doherty's creative evolution and the political and artistic contexts of his era. O'Doherty, a conceptual art pioneer and former Art in America editor, is also known for his influential essay Inside The White Cube. Moore-McCann, like O'Doherty, holds a medical degree, and her earlier work was reviewed by David Carrier on artcritical in 2010. The event highlights the ongoing relevance of O'Doherty's multidisciplinary contributions.
