Brian Curtin Named Director of Ho Chi Minh City's Sàn Art

Starting in April, Brian Curtin will assume the position of director and curator at Sàn Art, a non-profit arts group based in Ho Chi Minh City. His initiatives will include managing a training program for curators in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, along with revitalizing the Sàn Art Laboratory, which is dedicated to studio and residency projects. Since 2000, Curtin has been living in Bangkok, where he teaches art history and visual culture at Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Architecture. He earned his PhD in studio art from the University of Bristol and has curated shows in various locations, including China, New York, Korea, the UK, and Thailand. From 2011 to 2018, he led Bangkok's H Project Space.
