Brian Catling, artist and author of The Vorrh, dies at 74

Brian Catling, a renowned artist and fantasy fiction author, passed away at 74. He served as an Emeritus Professor of Fine Art at the Ruskin School. His artistic journey began in 1975 following graduation from the Royal College of Art, with a notable exhibit in Copenhagen in 1986. Catling uniquely featured a cyclops in his work, performing at the Royal Albert Hall in 1995 and exhibiting paintings in 2008. He authored the dark fantasy trilogy that includes The Vorrh and his book Earwig was turned into a movie in 2021. Catling's last exhibition, CUDDY, was held in London in 2019.
