Brescia's double portrait exhibition links civic and bank collections
The exhibition 'Ospiti a palazzo. Figure in posa e al naturale,' focusing on portraiture within Lombard art, has been inaugurated by Fondazione Brescia Musei and La Galleria BPER Banca. This showcase, running until January 20, is hosted at Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo and Palazzo Martinengo di Villagana. Curated by Lucia Peruzzi, it includes 12 artworks, such as Antonio Cifrondi's 'Vecchio con clessidra' (1717). At the Pinacoteca, visitors can view Giacomo Ceruti's portraits of Marchesa Laura Vitali Aliprandi (circa 1740) and Marchese Erasmo Aliprandi Martinengo (1727). Francesca Bazoli commended the partnership, initiated in 2021, while Flavia Mazzarella emphasized their mutual aim of promoting artistic heritage and cultural education.
