Brescia Photo Festival 2021: 3 Must-See Exhibitions on Heritage and Memory
The fourth edition of the Brescia Photo Festival, overseen by Renato Corsini and supported by the Municipality of Brescia along with Fondazione Brescia Musei in collaboration with Macof, centers on the theme 'Patrimoni' (Heritage). It commences with the unveiling of the restored 1st-century Roman bronze sculpture, Vittoria Alata, located at the Capitolium. Contemporary artists will be showcased at the Museo di Santa Giulia and various other sites. A highlight is the retrospective 'Alfred Seiland. Imperivm Romanvm,' featuring 136 large-format analog photographs, including 20 that are unpublished, which document Roman remains in 40 countries. Additionally, Santa Giulia hosts 'Palmira. Una memoria negata' by Elio Ciol and 'Roma in Africa' by Donata Pizzi, alongside Bruno Cattani's 'Eros' series, which presents sculptural fragments from the Louvre and Musée Rodin.
