Brescia Castle to Host International Light Festival

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

Brescia joins the European light festival network with its first International Light Festival, held from February 11 to 15 at the city's Castle. Fifteen international artists will install light works along a 1.5 km route, featuring video projections and live performances that trace the city's history from Celtic origins to the present. The festival is supported by Robbert Ten Caten, founder of Eindhoven's Glow Festival and head of the International Light Festival Organisation (ILO). Artistic direction is by the association Cieli Vibranti. The event aims to become a permanent fixture in Brescia's cultural calendar, restoring centrality to the Castle.
