Breitling Revamps Chronomat Lineup with 22 New Models

other · 2026-05-19

Breitling has unveiled a revamped Chronomat collection, introducing 22 new timepieces that blend the model's 1980s heritage with modern watchmaking technology. The original Chronomat was created for the Italian Air Force's Frecce Tricolori aerobatics team, designed to withstand up to 20 g-forces. The new lineup includes three core models: the Chronomat B01 42, Chronomat Automatic B31 40, and Chronomat Automatic 36. The B01 42 features a slimmed-down case (13.77 mm), Caliber 01 movement with 70-hour power reserve, and options in platinum, red gold, and two-tone. The B31 40 marks the first 40 mm time-and-date Chronomat, powered by the new Caliber B31 with 78-hour reserve. The 36 mm model uses Caliber 10 with 42-hour reserve and offers mother-of-pearl dials and lab-grown diamond bezels. Design updates include a fully integrated bracelet with micro-adjustment and improved ergonomics. Prices range from $5,950 to $49,900. Brand ambassadors Austin Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Erling Haaland are promoting the collection. CEO Georges Kern stated the new Chronomat refines the iconic design while staying true to its identity.
