Brant Foundation's Third Dimension Showcases Five Decades of Collecting

The Brant Foundation in New York presents 'Third Dimension', an exhibition of sculptures and installations from the collection of Peter Brant, who began collecting at age twenty with works by Andy Warhol and Franz Kline. The show includes artists from Carl Andre to Urs Fischer, with many works never before exhibited, such as Carl Andre's '8 Shoeing Smith, Australia' and Glenn Ligon's 'Warm Broad Glow'. Allison Brant, the foundation's director, emphasizes the importance of working directly with artists in curating shows and notes that the collection includes both historical and emerging artists. The foundation, which opened its East Village space last year with a Basquiat exhibition, continues to support artists while engaging new generations. The exhibition runs until September 3, 2020.
