Bouroullec Brothers' Bivouac Exhibition at Centre Pompidou-Metz
From October 7, 2011, until July 30, 2012, the Centre Pompidou-Metz will host Bivouac, a temporary exhibition by designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. This exhibit, distinct from their previous Textile Field installation, focuses exclusively on their creations, displaying both industrial and artisanal works across almost 1,200 square meters. The Bouroullec brothers, aged 40 and 35, have previously showcased their work at prestigious venues such as the Design Museum London, MoMA New York, and Villa Noailles Hyères. Their partnerships include notable brands like Vitra, Alessi, and Kartell. Featured in the exhibition are around 150 items, such as the Ploum sofa, Osso chairs, and Losange carpet, along with early pieces like the Combinatory Vases (1997) and Disintegrated Kitchen prototype (1999).
