Bourges Contemporain 2021: 14 Exhibitions Across Berry Region

Running until September 19, 2021, the 2021 Bourges Contemporain showcases fourteen exhibitions throughout the Berry region. A significant highlight is Myriam Mihindou's retrospective at Le Transpalette, which spans two decades and features sculptures and performances focused on the body. Her 'Sculptures de chair' series (1999-2000) presents photographs of her hands bound and pierced, drawing inspiration from Gina Pane and George Sand. Additionally, 'L'Expérience de Suzhou' includes three ceramic exhibitions featuring Ensa Bourges students alongside sculptor David Renaud. La Borne marks its 50th anniversary with contributions from 50 artists. Clotilde Boitel's 'Habiter' at Château d'eau showcases Millérioux and Montigné, while Solène Charton's 'Nuages électriques' at La Transversale delves into mental imagery. Exhibitions are also hosted in the Grand-Sancerrois wine cellars.
