Bottom Up! Architecture Festival Returns to Turin with Regional Focus

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The architecture festival Bottom Up! is returning for its second edition in Turin, Italy, with the goal of revitalizing public spaces in the regions of Piedmont and Valle d'Aosta through collaboration between citizens and architects. Established in 2019 by the Ordine degli Architetti and Fondazione per l'architettura / Torino, and backed by Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo, the festival is broadening its reach both regionally and across Europe. The Fondazione has set up an office in Brussels and has become part of the New European Bauhaus community. With 80 organizations involved, two calls have been issued: one for transformation ideas, open until April 28, and another for architects on May 12. Crowdfunding for eight chosen projects will take place from October to November.
