Botticelli's Portrait of Giuliano de' Medici displayed atop Libeskind tower in Milan

A masterpiece by Sandro Botticelli, the Portrait of Giuliano de' Medici (1478-1480), is being exhibited for free atop the CityLife Central Tower in Milan, designed by Daniel Libeskind. The initiative, titled Sguardi dalla Torre – Botticelli, is promoted by PwC Italia in collaboration with the Accademia Carrara of Bergamo, as part of Bergamo-Brescia Italian Capital of Culture 2023. The public can visit on November 26-27 and December 3-4, 2022, by booking via TicketOne. The exhibition includes a lower hall with LED sculptures by Libeskind displaying 25 digital works from the Accademia Carrara collection, including pieces by Raphael, Titian, Bellini, Lotto, Anguissola, Moroni, and Pellizza da Volpedo. PwC Italia is also funding the renovation of the Accademia Carrara's 3,000-square-meter garden, set to open in June 2023. Milan's Culture Councillor Tommaso Sacchi highlighted the synergy between art and architecture, and the collaboration between public and private sectors.
