Bottega Veneta shoots campaign on Burri's Grande Cretto in Gibellina

other · 2026-05-05

Bottega Veneta, a Kering brand owned by collector François Pinault, has strengthened its ties to contemporary art. For its 50th anniversary, the Italian luxury house launched a campaign photographed by Dutch artist Viviane Sassen on Alberto Burri's Grande Cretto in Gibellina, Sicily. The monumental land art piece, begun in 1985, commemorates victims of the 1968 earthquake. The campaign includes images and a video featuring models atop the concrete blocks. Previously, Bottega Veneta's Art of Collaboration exhibition, with works by Annie Leibovitz, Ryan McGinley, Nan Goldin, Jürgen Teller, and Robert Longo, traveled to the Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) in Beijing's 798 art district as part of the anniversary celebrations.
