Bottega Veneta's The Square Project Transforms Lina Bo Bardi's Casa de Vidro with 50 Artists

exhibition · 2026-04-23

The third iteration of Bottega Veneta's The Square art initiative, curated by Mari Stockler and directed by Matthieu Blazy, is currently on display at Casa de Vidro, designed by Lina Bo Bardi, in São Paulo until June 3. Unlike earlier exhibitions in Dubai and Tokyo, this edition emphasizes Bo Bardi's Morumbi home. Stockler has structured the exhibition around four themes: time, geometry, spirituality, and tropical roots, drawing inspiration from the neoconcrete movement and Bossa Nova. Nearly 50 artists are showcased, including Ibã Sales, Vivian Caccuri, and notable figures like Lygia Clark. The opening featured discussions and a performance by Alaíde Costa. Additionally, a four-book box set documenting the project was released within three weeks.
