Botero's Monumental Sculptures Installed Across Rome for First Time
In Rome's prominent squares, eight significant bronze sculptures by Fernando Botero (1932–2023) are showcased until October 1, 2024, as part of the exhibition 'Botero a Roma,' organized by his daughter, Lina Botero. These pieces, crafted between the 1990s and early 2000s, encompass 'Seated Women,' 'Gatto,' 'Reclining Woman,' 'Seated Woman,' 'Venus Dormida,' 'Horse (with bridles),' 'Standing Man (“Adamo”),' and 'Standing Woman (“Eva”).' Additionally, a more extensive retrospective will be held at Palazzo Bonaparte, commencing on September 17, 2024, featuring various artworks and a special room for his later watercolors.
