Bose Krishnamachari resigns from Kochi Biennale Foundation presidency amid controversy

Bose Krishnamachari has resigned as president of the Kochi Biennale Foundation due to personal family issues. He co-founded the foundation in 2010 with Riyas Komu and launched the Kochi-Muziris Biennale in 2012. On February 14, the foundation revealed it is looking for a new president. The current sixth edition, themed "For The Time Being," will run in Kochi, Kerala, until March 31. Recently, there were protests over Tom Vattakuzhy's piece, Supper at a Nunnery. In other news, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will debut Sarah Sze's Forever is Composed of Nows on November 21, while the New Museum in New York will reopen on March 21 with "New Humans: Memories of the Future." Yeşim Gürer Oymak will assume the role of general director at the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts starting July 1, and Kim YoungEun has been awarded the 2025 Korea Artist Prize.
