Boosta sonorizes Intesa Sanpaolo's art collections with Gallerie Sonore project
Davide Dileo, known as Boosta, keyboardist and co-founder of the Italian band Subsonica, has created four sound works inspired by the art collections of Intesa Sanpaolo for the project Gallerie Sonore. The project involves all four Gallerie d'Italia venues in Vicenza (October 10), Naples (October 25), Turin (October 29), and Milan (November 22), where concerts will present his compositions. Boosta selected specific paintings, sculptures, and photographs from over 35,000 works and about 7 million photographs in the bank's holdings. He describes the project as a complete synesthesia and sonification of the collection, aiming to make the art audible. The initiative follows last year's Open Machine project, which featured eight musical happenings led by Vittorio Cosma, former member of PFM. Michele Coppola, Executive Director of Arte Cultura e Beni Storici Intesa Sanpaolo and General Director of Gallerie d'Italia, stated that the collaboration confirms the institution's commitment to integrating music into the museum experience.
