BookCity Milano 2023: Dream Theme and 1,500 Events Across the City
In November 2023, the 12th edition of BookCity Milano will take place, centering on the theme of dreams in literature. The festival will commence at Castello Sforzesco and will encompass 300 locations, offering more than 1,500 events featuring 3,000 authors and 500 publishers. Distinguished attendees include Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk, who will be honored with the Sigillo della Città by Mayor Sala, as well as Steve McCurry, Michele Serra, among others. Key events will feature Percorsi d’autore and a delegation from Angoulême. The festival will also commemorate significant cultural milestones, such as the 50th anniversary of Carlo Emilio Gadda's passing and the 140th anniversary of Pinocchio's debut. New projects include Casa della Voce and Federica Marangoni's multimedia sculpture at Palazzo Reale from November 15 to December 10, promoting cultural inclusion across all nine municipal districts.
