Afterall, in association with Asia Art Archive and CCS Bard, published 'Uncooperative Contemporaries: Art Exhibitions in Shanghai in 2000' as part of its Exhibition Histories series. The book launch event, co-presented by Asia Art Archive in America and CCS Bard, took place on 25 February 2021 at 10pm GMT. It featured three conversations: Hou Hanru (Artistic Director of MAXXI, Rome) with Tom Eccles (Executive Director, CCS Bard); Anthony Yung (Senior Researcher, Asia Art Archive) with artist Yang Zhenzhong; and artist Ken Lum with Pauline Yao (Lead Curator, Visual Art, M+, Hong Kong). The event was free but required registration via Zoom. The book is available from Koenig Books.
