Bonhams Paris Auction Features Kusama and Kiefer Works Alongside Italian Post-War Artists

On December 4, 2025, Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in Paris is set to hold an auction featuring Post-War and Contemporary Art. Among the highlights is a significant 1963 artwork by Yayoi Kusama, estimated to fetch between €300,000 and €500,000. The sale will also include Anselm Kiefer's 'Anthurie,' created between 1987 and 1991, with a projected value of €150,000 to €250,000. The event will present pieces from the Michel Tapié de Celeyran collection as well as works from private collectors, showcasing Italian talents like Giuseppe Capogrossi, Lucio Fontana, and Alighiero Boetti. Kusama's Accumulation series, which she started in 1961, represents her transition from painting to sculpture, using everyday items adorned with sewn phallic shapes to illustrate her unique perspective as a female artist.
