Bonhams Hong Kong to Auction Ultra-Rare Japanese Whiskies

On 30 May 2026, Bonhams Hong Kong will auction two ultra-rare Japanese whiskies: a Yamazaki 50-Year-Old created exclusively for Club Natsume and a Karuizawa 52-Year-Old Cask #5627, 1960 - Treasure Ship. The Yamazaki is one of the rarest iterations of the distillery's second-oldest expression, while the Karuizawa is the oldest ever released from the now-closed distillery. Terrence Tang, Bonhams' Head of Wine & Spirits, Asia, stated the firm is honored to be entrusted with whiskies of such rarity and significance, noting that each marks an important moment in Japanese whisky development. The auction underscores Bonhams' leadership in the global rare spirits market.
