Bombay Sapphire launches collective NFT created live on Instagram

Bombay Sapphire gin brand has conceived Behind the Canvas, a collective NFT project that will be created during a live Instagram broadcast on November 17, 2021 at 6:30 PM. The event will be hosted on the pages of crypto art expert and artist Giuseppe Lo Schiavo and creative director and influencer Paolo Stella. During the 40-minute Crypto Art Show, a television-style set designed by Design By Gemini will feature guests including creators Fabio Persico, Benedetto Demaio, and Federica di Nardo discussing art, entertainment, and the future. Lo Schiavo will guide Instagram users in creating a digital artwork inspired by the iconic Bombay Sapphire bottle. The artwork will consist of two parts: an architectural piece inspired by 20th-century Metaphysical art, and an experimental sociological component where users choose objects to place in a 'message in a bottle' for future generations. After the live, Lo Schiavo will complete the artwork by December 1, 2021, when it will be unveiled and auctioned on makersplace.com. The project also involves young creatives from NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) and Domus Academy for set design and creation of original design objects. Chiara Pedraglio, brand manager for Bombay Sapphire, described it as a social experiment in creativity and participation. Stella noted the goal is to transform viewers into co-creators. Lo Schiavo previously created a virtual reality exhibition called Social Organism, still viewable on his website.
