Bolzano's Cultural Renaissance: Museion, Ötzi, and Medieval Treasures
In 2022, Bolzano's Museion showcases two significant exhibitions: a posthumous retrospective honoring Filipino activist David Medalla (Manila, 1942–2020) and a display focused on Kinetic art pioneer Erika Giovanna Klien (1900–1957). The museum, housed in a glass structure designed by KSV Krüger Schuberth Vandreike since 2008, will launch the Techno Humanities research initiative in late September and host a lecture by Ghanaian artist Ibrahim Mahama on May 26. Additionally, the Museo Archeologico dell'Alto Adige features Ötzi the Iceman and the exhibit 'Stone Age Connections' through November 2022.
