Bologna's Eutèpia tea room becomes Magazzeno Art Gaze gallery

exhibition · 2026-04-26

The historic Eutèpia tea room in Bologna, located at via Testoni 5/E, has relocated to via Castiglione near Teatro Duse, making way for the second location of MAG – Magazzeno Art Gaze, a gallery founded by Alessandra Carini. The new space, spanning approximately 100 square meters in the city center, opened on April 24, 2024, with 'Padiglione Itaglia,' a dual solo exhibition featuring Giulio Alvigini and Luca Rossi. The gallery includes a private bookshop curated by Bonobolabo, a brand already present at Palazzo Strozzi, MACRO, and the Guggenheim Venice, and a bar open Tuesday and Friday evenings and during inaugurations, offering wine, beer, spritz, and gin tonic. The layout comprises three rooms: the first for the bookshop and bar, the second for bimonthly temporary exhibitions, and a third intimate space for collectors and displaying other gallery artists. Upcoming events include a live video-animation performance by Tommaso Buldini with sound by Andrea 'Kana' Guerrini on May 3, 2024, and a private dinner with the artists of 'Padiglione Itaglia' (date TBD). Marco Miccoli of Bonobolabo describes the store as featuring limited-edition skate decks, serigraphs, books, and originals, collaborating with Italian and international artists from urban art, illustration, and comics since 2013. The gallery aims to be a friendly, open platform for daring artists and a meeting point for industry professionals.
