Bologna opens search for new MAMbo director
Bologna's Municipality has announced an opportunity to recruit five specialized experts, including a new leader for the modern and contemporary art sector at Istituzione Bologna Musei, which includes MAMbo and various other museums. This new director will succeed Lorenzo Balbi, who has been at the helm since April 2017. Born in Turin in 1982, Balbi emphasized experimental arts and social change, with his final initiative, Nuovo Forno del Pane, aimed at supporting local artists. The incoming director will be responsible for artistic direction, exhibition planning, and staff management. Candidates must possess a master’s degree and a minimum of three years in a senior role.
