Bologna Launches Foto/Territorio, a New Space for Landscape Photography

The Associazione Da. a. has inaugurated a new observatory named Foto/Territorio in Bologna, set to commence its programming on November 16–17, 2024, at Serra Madre in Giardini Margherita. The event will present the talk series OLTRE/Dialoghi tra fotografia, territorio, comunità, featuring notable figures such as photo editor Giovanna Calvenzi, photographers Marina Caneve, Alessandro Imbriaco, Allegra Martin, Paola de Pietri, and curators Elena Di Gioia and Caterina Molteni, alongside insights from Leporello photobooks. The discussions will delve into the interplay between photography, community, and territory. Foto/Territorio aims to highlight Bologna's photographic landscape, supporting both established artists and emerging talents, culminating in an exhibition of solo works and workshop highlights. Architect Pierluigi Molteni expressed that the initiative seeks to establish Bologna as a center for photographic research.
