BoJack Horseman artbook reveals secrets of Netflix animated series

Edizioni BD has released an Italian edition of the artbook "BoJack Horseman – Tutto quello che avreste sempre voluto sapere" (original US title "BoJack Horseman – The Art Before the Horse"), coinciding with the launch of the fifth season of the Netflix series on September 14. The 240-page volume, priced at €29, features early sketches, concept art, animatics, and insights from creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg, graphic designer Lisa Hanawalt, and other artists. The series has won multiple awards, including the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series in 2016 and 2017, and the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Animation Writing in 2017 and 2018, as well as a special mention at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2017. The book traces the development of the character and episodes, from writing to voice acting. The series is set in a fictionalized Los Angeles and is known for its dark humor and exploration of celebrity, responsibility, and mental health.
