Bogotá Biennial 2027 Reveals Curatorial Team, São Paulo as Guest City

Scheduled for September 2027, the second iteration of the Bogotá International Art and City Biennial, known as BOG27, has revealed its curatorial committee. Leading the team are chief curators Magalí Arriola and José Esparza Chong Cuy, with support from associate curators María Paula Bastidas and Juliana Steiner Fraser. Elkin Rubiano will oversee public programs and outreach, while Juan Ricardo Rincón Gaviria continues as director. The guest city of honor will be São Paulo, Brazil, highlighting Ibero-American cultural collaboration. Organized by Bogotá's Mayor’s Office through the Secretariat of Culture, Recreation and Sports, the inaugural 2025 edition attracted over three million attendees, with Secretary Santiago Trujillo underscoring art's role in bridging divides.
