Boghossian Jewels at Art Dubai 2022: Silk Road Inspirations
At Art Dubai 2022, Boghossian presents a booth installation that merges Eastern heritage with contemporary design, featuring collaborations with Danish Kuf studios (silk cords) and Lebanese designer Nada Debs (furniture). The display highlights the Inlay collection, inspired by ancient Eastern civilizations and the Taj Mahal's stone-setting technique, including an 18-carat yellow gold necklace and earring set with Citrine Madeira and Palmera Inlay. The Kissing collection, celebrating the four elements, debuts two centre pieces: Water (aquamarine, pink and green tourmaline necklace and ring) and Air (Paraiba stone from Mozambique with diamond). The Merveilles collection minimizes gold to create floating illusions, exemplified by the Icicle Diamond Earring inspired by light pillars. The High Jewellery collection includes Conch Pearl and Opal Earrings and a Burmese No Heat Sapphire and Moonstone Ring (4.72 carats). CEO Albert Boghossian states, 'Designing jewelry is like painting with light.' The brand, based in Geneva since 2008, has expanded to London, New York, Hong Kong, and Gstaad, and holds auction records for the most expensive colored diamond bracelet and highest price-per-carat for a Burmese Ruby.
