Boghossian Foundation Prize Lebanon 2024 Winners Announced Across Visual Arts, Cinema, and Literature
On 28 November, the Boghossian Foundation Prize Lebanon 2024 winners were revealed at an award ceremony in Beirut. Hussein Nassereddine, Petram Chalach, and Monya Riachi secured the Visual Art Category, each receiving USD 6,000. Joseph Khallouf earned the Cinéma Coup de Cœur award for his 2023 film 'Letters,' a collaboration with the Liban Cinéma Foundation that comes with USD 10,000. Literature Prize winners Basma Khatib and Jana Salika, partnered with Assabil municipal libraries, were granted USD 3,000. Second-prize recipients in Visual Arts and Cinema gain artist residencies at the Villa Empain in Brussels, promoting cross-cultural dialogue. Established in 2012 to foster artistic exchange between East and West and support young Lebanese artists, the prize has now recognized 59 artists since its inception. The selection board, chaired by Louma Salmé, director of the Boghossian Foundation in Brussels, includes prominent art world figures. Winners represent diverse artistic practices from abroad.
