Bofill Taller de Arquitectura Reveals Veil Resort in Dhërmi, Albania

architecture-design · 2026-04-28

Bofill Taller de Arquitectura has unveiled the final visuals for the Veil Resort, which has been under development in Dhërmi, Albania, since its announcement in 2024. This mountain resort by the coast comprises 366 apartments and 77 villas, categorized into sixteen different types, all designed to maintain the forest's essence while blending with the rugged landscape. The design features a series of squares with varying heights, elevated on platforms to protect significant trees. Locally sourced stone and a four-color pavement scheme are utilized throughout. A central communal building houses a social club, restaurant, gym, and swimming pools. Recent works include Kengo Kuma's 32-story tower in Quito and renovations of the Korean 63 Tower by Wilmotte.
