Bofill Taller de Arquitectura Reveals Landscape-Integrated Resort in Albania

architecture-design · 2026-04-28

Bofill Taller de Arquitectura has unveiled the final visuals for The Veil resort, which is currently being built in Dhërmi, Albania. Announced in 2024, this development comprises 366 apartments and 77 villas, designed in sixteen different styles along the mountainous coastline. The architecture preserves significant trees and utilizes locally sourced stone, featuring a four-color scheme inspired by the surrounding landscape. The design integrates concrete and glazed ceramic tile facades, creating a harmonious balance between horizontal platforms and vertical structures, all oriented towards views of the Adriatic Sea. A communal area will house a social club, restaurant, gym, and pools, with a courtyard featuring ancient trees. Recent works include Kengo Kuma & Associates' tower in Quito and Wilmotte & Associés' renovation of Korean 63 Tower.
