Body of missing artist Sarah Cunningham found at London tube station

The remains of abstract artist Sarah Cunningham, who was based in London, were found on the tracks at Chalk Farm Underground station. She had been unaccounted for since Saturday night. Authorities are not treating her death as suspicious at this time. Since 2023, Cunningham was represented by Lisson Gallery and had earned her MA in painting from the Royal College of Art in 2022. The last sighting of her was as she exited a residential building in Camden, North London. Emergency services responded shortly after 1am on Monday. A recipient of the Ali H. Alkazzi Scholarship Award, she also participated in the La Wayaka Current Artist Residency in Armila. Her oil paintings were showcased at Almine Rech, Max Hetzler, and CICA Vancouver, and she held two solo exhibitions at Lisson Gallery, including one in London in summer 2023 and another titled Flight Paths in Los Angeles from June to August 2024, focusing on aerial and bodily movements.
