Bodies of two Italian divers recovered from Maldives cave
On Tuesday, the remains of two Italian divers were retrieved from an underwater cave in the Maldives, as reported by presidential spokesman Mohamed Hussain Shareef. These divers were among four individuals who had been missing and were located 'pretty much together' in the cave's third segment. The search had been halted after a local military diver tragically lost his life during a challenging operation. The bodies were recovered from a depth of approximately 60 meters by three Finnish diving specialists, with assistance from Maldives police and military, surpassing the legal recreational diving limit of 30 meters. Earlier, the government confirmed that the bodies had been seen in the cave's deepest section.
