Bocuse d'Or Europe OFF 2018 Brings Culinary Arts to Turin

festival-fair · 2026-05-04

The Bocuse d'Or, the world's most prestigious haute cuisine competition founded in 1987 by Paul Bocuse, will hold its European final in Turin for the first time on June 11-12, 2018. The event, paired with the World Pastry Championship, will see top chefs competing for the European title and a spot at the 17th Bocuse d'Or world final in Lyon in January 2019. To celebrate, Bocuse d'Or Europe OFF 2018, in collaboration with Circolo dei lettori and Accademia Bocuse d'Or Italia, offers a calendar of events exploring the relationship between culture and food from June 8 to 16. Highlights include: 'La Cucina di Buon Gusto' exhibition at Musei Reali (from April 20) showcasing culinary art from the 17th to 19th centuries; 'Gran Tour' in Asti on May 1 visiting contemporary art in vineyards and underground wine cellars; 'Regine e Re di Cuochi' at ex Borsa Valori (May 4-June 24) featuring top Italian chefs like Massimo Bottura and Davide Scabin; 'Gualtiero Marchesi. Arte in cucina' at Palazzo Madama (May 17-June 12) honoring the late chef; 'Cultura e cucina del Vietnam e della Corea' at MAO (June 8-16); opening party at Mole Antonelliana/Museo del Cinema on June 9; 'Play with Food' festival (June 11-17) with performances and secret dinners; and 'Brindisi a corte' at Venaria Reale on June 16 with a picnic inspired by Manet's painting. The events involve multiple Turin institutions including Musei Reali, Museo Nazionale del Cinema, Palazzo Madama, MAO, and Reggia di Venaria Reale.
