BoCS Art Residency Returns to Cosenza with Virginia Zanetti's Collective Performance

The artist residency known as BoCS Art commenced its second edition on July 1, 2016, in Cosenza, Italy, featuring 28 artists. Funded by the EU and organized by the Municipality and Province of Cosenza, the initiative seeks to engage the community and rejuvenate the Crati riverfront. Curated by Alberto Dambruoso, the inaugural 2015 edition showcased around 180 artists. Among them was Flavio Favelli, whose mural of Gigi Marulla stirred controversy, prompting a 'repair' by Lucamaleonte. Other notable figures included Raffaele Fiorella and Giovanni Gaggia. A standout moment in the second edition was Virginia Zanetti's performance 'I Pilastri della Terra,' which encouraged local participation through handstands. Zanetti also partnered with Palazzo Strozzi for a workshop aimed at Alzheimer's caregivers, highlighted at a conference in November 2016.
