BMW iX3 Neue Klasse EV Offers Up to 434 Miles Range, Starts at $62,850

BMW has opened order books for the iX3, the first model of its Neue Klasse electric vehicle lineup. The SUV's official range is 383 to 434 miles, depending on wheel and tire configuration. The upper figure is achieved with 20-inch wheels and summer tires (no-cost option), while 21-inch wheels yield 398-399 miles and 22-inch wheels 392 miles. The iX3 50 xDrive starts at $62,850, positioned between the gas X3 30 xDrive ($52,650) and X3 M50 xDrive ($67,850). The battery charges from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes, or adds 185 miles in 10 minutes on a DC fast charger. Options include a heated steering wheel ($200), Merino leather ($1,500), and M Sport Professional Package ($4,000). A fully loaded iX3 costs nearly $86,000. Deliveries begin fall 2025. Reservations require a $1,000 deposit via BMW's website.
