BMW 7 Series Gets Massive Tech Upgrade with 8K Screen and Dolby Atmos
BMW has unveiled its most extensive model update ever for the 2026 7 Series, featuring a 31.3in rear Theatre Screen upgraded to 8K resolution with Dolby Atmos and integrated video conferencing. The car introduces BMW's first passenger side display screen, a Panoramic Vision projection system across the windscreen, and a 3D Head-Up display. The design adopts a 'monolithic' Neue Klasse language with a new front and rear treatment, including slim LED headlights and a tail-spanning light bar. The cabin offers optional Executive Lounge seating with leg rest and heated armrests, plus Touch Command modules in rear door handles. Audio comes from Bowers & Wilkins with up to 35 speakers and 1,965 watts. The all-electric i7 50 xDrive leads the range with 452 miles of range, while the i7 M70 xDrive produces 680 hp and does 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Two plug-in hybrids follow. Level 2 driver assistance handles junctions and roundabouts in Europe. The car was photographed at the BEEAH Group headquarters in Sharjah, UAE, designed by Zaha Hadid Architects.
