Blogs & Crafts: call for under-35 artisans and bloggers in Florence

The fifth edition of Blogs & Crafts, an initiative combining traditional craftsmanship with social media, will take place during the 14th edition of Artigianato e Palazzo at Giardino Corsini in Florence on May 17-18, 2018. The contest is open to artisans under 35 and bloggers specializing in art, craft, lifestyle, fashion, or tourism. A jury will select 10 artisans to exhibit in a dedicated area free of charge; they may also compete for the Premio Perseo (audience vote) and, through a partnership with SOURCE Design & Networking Agency, the Premio SOURCE for sustainability and technology, which includes exhibiting at the 2019 Fuorisalone in Milan. Selected bloggers will be hosted on May 16-17 and must live-blog the event and write a recap post. The collaboration with Fondazione Ferragamo continues, offering winners a visit to the Salvatore Ferragamo archive. Application deadlines: March 9, 2018 for artisans (email or post to Studio Torrigiani, via Venezia 8, 50121 Florence); March 23, 2018 for bloggers. The initiative was founded in 2014 for the 20th anniversary of Artigianato e Palazzo, which began in 1995 by Neri Torrigiani and Princess Giorgiana Corsini to revive artisanry.
