Blindarte Opens Sprawling Milan Gallery in Former Church

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Blindarte, a gallery and auction house based in Naples, has opened a new venue in Milan's Brera district, situated in a former church that once served as a private museum for sculptor Luciano Minguzzi. This newly renovated four-story space spans 600 square meters and boasts a stunning 10-meter-high lobby with a vaulted ceiling, six 'nails' for natural light, and an impressive rose window. Designed by architects Sila Barracco and Mauro Smith, the aesthetic draws inspiration from Chelsea and Mayfair. Auctions will commence on May 25-26, showcasing works by artists such as Robert Rauschenberg, Gilberto Zorio, and Old Masters like Mattia Preti. The gallery’s full program will kick off in autumn with Adam Cvijanovic's solo exhibition. The grand opening took place on Thursday, May 5, 2016, at Via Palermo 11.
