BLINDARTE Launches Trampoline Auction for Emerging Artists

market-auction · 2026-05-04

Naples-based auction house BLINDARTE, with a Milan office, has launched an initiative called Trampoline | The Artists and Collectors Artpot, an online auction in May 2019 designed for artists who have never or rarely participated in auctions. The auction aims to bypass traditional market rules by allowing artists with exhibition experience but no auction history to submit works via email. Selection criteria prioritize the work's significance and innovation over the artist's curriculum, according to director Memmo Grilli. The highest-selling artist will receive a cash jackpot (ARTPOT) to fund future projects. Submissions are open until April 7, 2019, with the winner announced on June 4, 2019, at BLINDARTE's Milan location on Via Palermo 11. The auction includes a physical exhibition and catalog. BLINDARTE is among the first Italian auction houses to operate online.
