Blazers/Blasons Launches Embroidered Bib Collection at Multiple Art Days
Blazers/Blasons, an evolving project at the intersection of contemporary art, craftsmanship, and fashion, will launch a collection of embroidered bibs at the Multiple Art Days fair at the Monnaie de Paris from September 14 to 16, 2018. Since 2016, eighty-seven artists across three collections have designed their own blazon within a 7 x 8 cm space, realized as mechanical embroidery that anyone can wear. A fourth collection is planned for 2019. The project is organized by La Valise in Nantes. The visual for the launch features Jonathan Monk's 'Bands of Color (Sol LeWitt X Brookvale High School)', invited by Mathieu Mercier, from the 2017 collection.
