BLAP 2026 Opens Call to Rethink Latin American Landscape

The seventh Bienal Latinoamericana de Arquitectura de Paisaje (BLAP) has begun accepting submissions for its 2026 edition, which will concentrate on the impact of landscape architecture in relation to climate change and urbanization. This event, organized by the Sociedad de Arquitectos Paisajistas de México (SAPmx), seeks to highlight innovative projects throughout Latin America. President Fernanda Rionda noted the biennial's importance in promoting dialogue about sustainable environments. The 2026 event features four categories: built works, territorial planning tools, unbuilt projects, and theoretical works, with eligibility for projects completed between 2021 and 2026. Submissions are open until September 1, 2026, with documents due by September 8. Winners will be revealed on November 12, 2026, and will participate in activities in 2027.
