Blancpain Unveils Diamond-Covered Ladybird Tribute Watches for Marilyn Monroe's 100th Birthday
On Marilyn Monroe's 100th birthday, Blancpain introduced a new line of luxurious timepieces inspired by the legendary actress. The collection features seven Ladybird Tribute watches, reimagining Monroe's original Art Deco Blancpain, which was reacquired by the brand in 2016. Each watch boasts 85 diamonds, amounting to 1.360 carats, including 60 brilliant-cut and two marquise diamonds set in an 18-karat white-gold case. The timepieces preserve the opaline dial, yellow-gold hour markers, and Art Deco rectangular case, powered by Blancpain's Caliber 510, a manual-winding movement from 2020. Priced at $54,300 each, they come with a double-wrap calf strap in unique Pantone colors and feature an engraving of one letter from Monroe's name on the caseback.
