Bjorn Geldhof Curates Transparent Ukrainian Pavilion at 2015 Venice Biennale with Seven Young Artists

At the 2015 Venice Biennale, Bjorn Geldhof is responsible for curating the Ukrainian pavilion, which showcases a glass installation named 'Hope!' located on Riva dei Sette Martiri. This piece symbolizes Ukraine's challenges and hopes for rejuvenation. He chose seven emerging Ukrainian artists from the 2004 Orange Revolution, whose creations interact with civil society while adopting a critical and impartial viewpoint. The pavilion is organized by the PinchukArtCentre and receives backing from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation. Geldhof regards the opportunity to represent Ukraine as both an honor and a duty, tackling topics such as corruption, the Russian military's presence, and economic difficulties. He strives to engage a wide range of audiences and has previously worked with Jan Fabre in 2009, as well as participated in Biennale editions in 2011 and 2013.
